Incredible hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They know everything about the area and really set the tone for relaxing into the Sayulita life. The space is very clean, great easy walk into town (5 min) but far enough away on a hill to feel remote and more quiet than in the square. I can't say enough good things about the hosts and the space you will not regret.

My husband and I visited casa campana last year and had a wonderful time. The accommodations are beautiful and in a great location. There is a lovely pool and if you want to swim in the ocean instead it is right in front of the property. There are many sites to see as well as a lot of shopping to enjoy. The shops and restaurants are only a few minutes walk away and the locals are very friendly. The beach is beautiful and offers many different activities. We even saw whales from our room. We are avid travelers and consider this to be the best vacation we have ever had. What a great time of rest, relaxation, and adventure!

I have stayed at this private home almost every year since 2003!! The home is beautiful! It is right on the ocean. While lying in my bed at night I get the soft ocean breezes and the sound of waves lapping the shore. During the day sitting on the patios overlooking the ocean and watching the birds and looking for whales and dolphins is so very relaxing. The rooms are large with all the amenities of a hotel room. The town is a true Mexican town. They have a town square where they have community parties. There is such a wide variety of resturants to choose from!! From the roadside vendor to a 5* diing experience. The town offers a large variety of touristy things to do also!! horseback riding through the jungle and over the beaches, zip lining, fishing, shopping tec. Then just a short bus ride away is MORE shopping , swimming with dolphins, whale watching boat rides.... I could just go on and on but I hope I've painted the picture for you next vacation!

We've stayed at Casa Campana twice now. The first time, we stayed in one of the two rooms, and loved it. The deck is very nice, overlooking the pool, and also with views of the ocean right across the way. The beach is just across a small dirt road, and the town square is just a few short easy blocks to walk. Most recently, we stayed in the casita, which is just slightly behind the main house. It's a lovely spot, with 2 bedrooms on the main level and a loft above on the 3rd level. While the 2 downstairs bedrooms have no windows, they are quiet. The beautiful loft above is open, which is really nice, but also can be a bit noisy with music from the town. The room and casita were modestly furnished, nothing fancy but comfortable and clean. The original artwork in all of the rooms and shared areas is fabulous, and really gives the home a wonderful feel. The hosts Cheryl and Richard were very nice, we enjoyed visiting with them both times. Another employee, Tony, was very helpful on several occasions. After staying there twice now, we would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful property!! Mary Pat was very helpful and a sweetheart. We loved it so much we may return this summer. We went with the intention of cooking most dinners in but found eating in town was affordable and delicious.

Casa Campana is our go-to rental in Sayulita. Located just steps from the beach, the rooms are large, the beds are so comfortable, the lovely housekeepers come daily and the ease in walking to town is unmatched. Cheryl has an amazing property with plenty of different room options to accommodate parties of all sizes. Not to mention, every room is FILLED with stunning art pieces and unobstructed beach views that will make you want to stay at Casa Campana every visit!

What a wonderful vacation! We all feel like we have been in paradise for a week. Everything was much more wonderful than we ever imagined it would be. We’ll be back!

I love to sit by the pool, smell the salt air, and listen to the waves. Everything is walking distance, so no traffic or trying to learn my way around. Just super relaxing fun. Casa Campana is the best!

Casa Campana is probably one of the best locations to stay in Sayulita (in my opinion). My husband and I had never been to Sayulita before this trip, but we knew that we wanted a swimming pool, AC, and to be close to town and the beach. We had narrowed our choices down to Casa de los Arcos and Casa Campana. Eventually we decided on Casa Campana, mainly because it seemed to be a closer walk to town. It was hard for us to picture how far of a walk to town the rentals were based on the map on sayulitalife.com. We are very glad that we chose the closer location, the other rental we were looking at was only 5 minutes further down the road, but in the rainy season that 5 minutes is huge. We stayed in guest suite #2. It was just as described by other reviewers on Trip Advisor. We did use the safe, but also left everything in the closet which has a dead bolt. It felt secure enough that we were able to leave the bedroom doors open all day, even when we weren’t there. Sayulita in August is HOT and humid, the air conditioning worked fabulous and was necessary. The mosquito’s are also an issue during the summer, but by closing the doors to the room and bathroom we were able to eliminate this problem (at least while we were sleeping and hanging out in the room). There definitely was not a noise issue for us, although we were there in the off season. The only thing that we could hear at night were the waves breaking against the shore and the crazy thunder storms. It was amazing to wake up in the middle of the night to spectacular bolts of lightning shooting across the sky of the pacific. Usually the rain had ceased by morning and we were able to enjoy the day. Most of our days were spent eating at the local restaurants in town and lounging poolside. I must say, the pool at Casa Campana is top notch. There are even 3 built-in barstools at a swim up bar (BYOB and BYOBartender of course). Since it was the off season we had the pool to ourselves, we were able to listen to the crashing surf or bring our portable ipod player down to listen to some music. Very relaxing. The homeowners were not there, but the house-sitter John was very helpful. He recommended a great guy to get a surfing lesson from, and a few good restaurants to eat at. Room Amenities include: bath towels, hand towels, wash towels, beach towels, hair dryer, bar/facial soap, hand soap, dish soap, bottle (jug) water, lockable safe, refrigerator, coffee pot, coffee mugs, drinking glasses, utensils, dishes (plates and bowels), wine opener, hand juicer, cutting boards, beach umbrella, beach chairs, boogie boards, WIFI

Casa Campana. Perfect location in a perfect town. This was our seventh time in town and our first time staying at Casa Campana. We were pleasantly surprised how close we were to the beach and also how great the room was. Very close to town and restaurants. The property was clean and very well kept. The owners were extremely nice and were very helpful. I will stay here again. Thanks again! See you soon.

This was the second time we have stayed at Casa Campana and it never disappoints. It is the best location in town and the hosts, Richard and Cheryl are extremely warm and welcoming; they also have great insight on restaurants in the area. One of the highlights of the one bedrooms are the open air showers - once you've experienced it you'll be spoiled. Besides the 2 one bedrooms, in the rear of the property is a beautiful newly expanded/renovated 3 bedroom casa with a 3rd floor palapa king suite and a huge beautiful 2nd floor terrace, like an outdoor living room.

Had a room up top which was very comfortable and quiet. Great bed and shower but lacked a fridge which would have been handy. WiFi was virtually non existent in the room but OK on the terrace outside the door. RoHaving said that, our stay their was great. Local restaurants were terrific and Isabelle went to a lot of trouble to locate us a handy parking spot for our stay there and Jim was kind enough to help me extricate the car from there when we were going.

We stayed in the Suite # 2, upstairs so we could watch the fishermen, the birds, walkers, boogie boarders and surfers...Easy walk to town and beach cafes. The accommodations were surrounded by interesting tasteful pieces of art. Loved the outdoor shower, so refreshing. We felt we had so much space with two patios, excellent furniture. A wonderful place to wind down. We would definitely return.

Cheryl had advised us to hire a driver who would meet us at the airport and then stop in town for groceries, etc. That was excellent advice! Our driver was most courteous and helpful, waiting for us at the grocery checkout. The casa is much more beautiful than the pictures would have you think. Spotlessly clean, gorgeous outdoor showers, lovely pool and wonderful outdoor lounging areas. The town of Sayulita is charming beyond words, Casa Campana is beautiful and private with a prime location - easy walking distance to virtually everything.

I just got back from Sayulita and it was great. I went surfing, swimming with the dolphins, walked on the beach and horseback riding. The food was wonderful and there were new restaurants this year. Calypso and Rain Tree have especially good food. I stayed at Casa Campana right on the beach and I could just look out every morning and see what the surf was like. It is a beautiful house and I will definitely go back there.

My husband and I have stayed at Casa Campana about 6 weeks a year for the past 6 years. We purposely did not write a review not wanting to spread the word to any of you until last week when the owners assured us they would continue to protect & save our desired dates well in advance for our mud season escapes from Vail, Colorado in May and November. Simply put, there is no place we would rather be. This is the best location in Sayulita. The closest house to the Pacific ocean with no steps to climb, a great swimming pool and only a few minute walk to about 40 restaurants. Don Pedros' is less than 100 yards from our front gate. Sleep to the sound of the surf in this incredible climate or use the optional air-conditioning. A most accommodating team at Casa Campana provides daily housekeeping, impeccable landscaping along with fine hospitality. All rooms have great views, lovely private outdoor areas, most comfortable beds and are decorated with pleasing art including some done by Cheryl Vaughan, an owner who is famous on these grounds. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Sayulita is a unique beach town and I mean that in the most positive manner. Very much original old Mexico, zero condo buildings, no large hotels or resorts or timeshares at all and no golf or tennis either. Probably only one concierge in the whole town making this a town that does not attract the "can you get me a …" crowd. If you are a type "A" or person needing lots of service don't come here. Very laid back with a wonderful clean beach that has a very gentle surf at our end of the beach and a more challenging surf at the other end of this 1 1/2 mile long cove in the Pacific. Cheryl and Richard, the owners are the most hospitable and helpful hosts. You really do not need or want a car in Sayulita which is 45 minutes or $50 by taxi or $2 by bus and yes we have taken the bus, from the Puerto Vallarta Airport and there are taxi's always available in Sayulita for day trips. Casa Campana is the best choice in Sayulita!

Casa Campana has helped make our stay in Sayulita simply wonderful. We love the architecture of this home, the location and the warm and welcoming feeling. As I sit here on the balcony of the palapa, I can gaze out into the ocean and listen to the peaceful eb and flow of the waves. Cheryl and Richard have created a slice of heaven within the lushness of this unique town. Many thanks.

My wife and I just returned from a week at Casa Campana and are already planning to return next year. We really can't say enough positive things about our experience here. The property is stunning with the best location right on the beach. We stayed in room 2 with the huge terrace overlooking the surf, but all the rooms are terrific and afford a high level of privacy. They are tastefully decorated with wonderful art work, and our king size bed was very comfortable. The walk in closet is huge and helped us to keep our belongings organized. We did not need the AC while we were there, but it was nice to have it available. The outdoor shower was fun with plenty of privacy and hot water. The proximity to the beach can't be beaten- we just grabbed chairs and boogie boards from the stack available to the guests and walked across the street to set up. It's nice to be so close without hundreds of stairs to navigate like most of the beachfront properties. The staff keeps the place spotless and daily maid service is handled without any intrusion. The pool sparkles and is great for a dip after a day on the sand. The center of town is just steps away, but we had virtually no issues with noise, despite the fact that Sayulita was undergoing a complete renovation with construction almost everywhere but the beach front street we were on (it seems to be moving at a very rapid pace and should be done by the end of March). The restaurants we ate at all were tasty and inexpensive. Although we heard about some recent issues with robberies, these seemed to occur in the more isolated areas north of town and we never felt unsafe in town, on the beach or at the Casa. The only day we spent away was to take a whale watching trip out of Punta de Mita that Cheryl arranged for us and another couple staying at the property. We saw perhaps the most spectacular display possible from a baby humpback and the parents who leaped, spun and slapped the water literally right in front of us. Captain Javier also took us to the Mariettas Islands where we saw the Blue-footed Booby, a bird that is only found elsewhere in the Gallopagos. He expertly navigated the coves and narrow inlets to put us right up close to this protected national park. Finally, Cheryl's friend (and sometime house sitter) Mary Pat offers in-room massages that are just perfect. Be sure to take advantage of this special treat before you leave. It is just another touch that adds to the unparalleled level of relaxation you will find here. Do yourself a big favor and reserve a room now

Casa Campana is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for that peaceful get away. Located just across the beach, Casa Campana has a gorgeous view of the beach and ocean, and sitting on the deck you have wonderful views. When staying at the Casa you are one block from the main part of town. Suite #1 has a nice bedroom and the outdoor shower is great and very private too. We would highly recommend staying at Casa Campana, and we are looking forward to another vacation get away to this fun Casa !

Thank you so much! I had a wonderful week renting your casita. We (4 women) loved everything about Casa Compana from the beautiful pool, to the spacious rooms, views from the deck, the open air living with no bugs, the privacy, the location. We enjoyed the sound of the ocean every night as we fell asleep and long walks on the beach in the morning.

“Location. Location. Location. Everything was within walking distance, so we did not get in a car all week, a vacation in itself. This is the best. I simply love it! I couldn’t imagine Casa Campana would be so wonderful!”

We stayed in Guestroom #2 which is the best. Private patio, open air shower microwave refrigerator and amazing view! With village restaurants just a few blocks away who needs a kitchen. This home is right across a dirt street from the beach and has beach chairs umbrellas and boogie boards for guest use. We hung at the beach for hours and then came home to our private pool. Yes it was paradise. We loved Casa Campana and plan to return. Sayulita is a neat beach town with LNG beach and rather gentle surf. Good escape from busy crowded Puerto Vallarta.
